Jesus Went to Hell (Apostles' Creed)

According to the Apostle's Creed, it says that Jesus went to hell. Why would God do that? [Acts 2:27, Psalms 16:10, Ephesians 4:9, Psalms 139:15, I Peter 3:20-21, I Peter 1:11].
