Eternal Security (the Vine & Olive Tree)

Isn’t the olive tree and the vine’s cooperate identity and the scriptures in 1 John 2 about those that departed not being “of them” indicate that they were not departing from Christ? [John 15, Romans 11, 1 John 2:19, Romans 11:22, Matthew 7:21-23].
