The Dangers of the "Word of Faith" ("Name it & Claim it", "Health & Wealth", "Prosperity Doctrine")

How detrimental is teaching the Word of Faith doctrine (Health & Wealth, Prosperity Doctrine, etc.)? And could we disprove it simply on other terms, even without scripture? [Galatians 4:13-14, 2 Corinthians 12:7-10, 2 Corinthians 8, 2 Timothy 4:20, Luke 14:33, Matthew 8:20].
