Calvinist View of Holy Spirit & Conviction of Sin

What do you think about when Calvinists use this passage to support the idea that after one is saved, the Holy Spirit no longer needs to convict one of sin, and that it only is speaking of non-believers? [John 16:8-10, I John 1:9].
