Applying Old Testament Promises to Ourselves

I am wondering if I can apply one of my favorite verses to myself, even though it was meant to the Old Testament exiles in Babylon? [Jeremiah 29:11, Deuteronomy 28, Joshua 1:5, Hebrews 13:5, Psalm 118:6, 2 Corinthians 1:20].
